Happy Birthday…to Us!
I’m excited to announce that today Eatsporkjew.com (aka Eats Pork Jew) has reached a new milestone. We’re one-year old! Yep, this time last year, the site went from being an idea; one that was discussed, contemplated, and agonized over for more than a nine month gestation period, until we heaved and hollered and gave birth to our baby blog on November 13th 2012. And now it’s this living, breathing, digitally kicking, expression of its creators; one that’s full of energy, irreverence, and spunk!
It’s been a whirlwind of a year, and we want to say a big “thank you” to all our friends, family, and peers for all their support…and patience. Don’t think we didn’t notice you salivating quietly on the other side of table as we took our time taking pictures of each dish from multiple angles. And thanks for not getting too upset about our camera flashes…if those blind spots aren’t fading like we discussed, feel free to send us the bill from your ocular therapist. You guys and girls are the best and we couldn’t have done this without you!
Being a year older– and a little wiser– it’s only natural that we get a little work done, right? So we took some inspiration from every bravo Real Housewife we could think of….and decided to get some work done. Did someone say “face-lift?”
While we’re having our back fat pulled back in the operating room and are under the knives of web-coders and designers over the next few weeks, we’ll be redesigning a few things with the goal of making our content easier to sort, view, consume, and share with fellow food-lovers and storytellers.
In the meantime, while we’re preparing for the big reveal, you can join us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, where we’ll continue to post commentary and photos of our epicurean adventures this holiday season.
And for today, here’s a sampling (in no particular order) of the top 10 posts you picked as your favorites from 2012-2013!
